Affordable housing in Denver

• The City of Denver lists vacant income-restricted apartments on its Affordable Housing Portal, run by the Department of Housing Stability (HOST). In the Denver metro we also show the Boulder and Boulder County housing authorities' available units and South Metro Housing Options' openings in Littleton.
• Most of these are open now: eligible applicants are housed in the order they apply. You contact the property or housing authority as its page says.
• Each apartment has an income level (a share of the area median income) and often a minimum income. Some buildings are for seniors 62 and over.
• Housing authority voucher waitlists across the metro rarely open, usually for a few days a year.

The official sites are Denver Affordable Housing Portal and Boulder Housing Partners and Boulder County Housing Authority and South Metro Housing Options (Littleton). Each listing's own site and its rules decide.
